Step 1 — Create or log in to your eAccessNY account. Scheduling for the state exam runs entirely through eAccessNY. You will need an account before you can book a seat.
Step 2 — Choose “Apply to Take an Exam.” Select your exam site and a date, and pay the $15 examination fee.
Step 3 — Print your Summary of Your Submission. This page carries your candidate number. Bring it with you, along with current government-issued photo identification showing your signature.
Step 4 — Check your results in eAccessNY. Log in, open the Main Menu and select “View Exam Results.” Results are not given out over the phone.
You will find confident claims online about how many questions the New York state exam has and what score you need. Treat them carefully. The Department of State does not publish a question count or a passing score for the salesperson exam, and results are reported as pass or fail with no numerical score attached.
